Frankfurter Goethe-Haus und Freies Deutsches Hochstift (Frankfurt Goethe-Museum and Goethe-House)

Johann Wolfgang Goethe was born here on August 28, 1749 'at the stroke of twelve bells', and grew up here with his parents Johann Caspar and Catharina Elisabeth, together with his sister Cornelia. With its old furniture and pictures, the 18th-century town house conveys a vivid picture of Goethe's youth. Join the staff on a tour - floor by floor - of Goethe's childhood home.
