Description
With two parallel wings perpendicular to the main façade, bright white and surrounded by a large park modelled on an English landscape garden, Rumpenheim Castle was once a significant attraction for European nobility –Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria and Russian Tsar Alexander III were there, Kings Christian IX and Friedrich VIII from Denmark also came, and before their coronations, Queen Mary and King Edward VII of England also paid a visit to Rumpenheim Castle. Today, people like you and I live there and enjoy being near to the river and the beauty of the adjacent lawns. Those who love a break in the countryside will find a real insider tip in the palace grounds of Rumpenheim.
Today, the park is landmarked and declared as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
