Apart from its remarkable art collections, the Hessian State Museum of Art and Natural History also owns a notable natural science collection including taxidermic mounts. The permanent Art Nouveau presentation of more than five hundred exhibits donated by F. W. Neess catapulted Wiesbaden on the map of Art Nouveau cities in Europe.
