Castle Kronberg is an impressive example of medieval architecture and of how the transformation of a defense building to residence took place.

Beschreibung

The Oberburg was built around 1170 and the Mittelburg at the beginning of the 14th century. The spacious grounds with the prince garden, the teacher garden and the Eibenhain especially attracts nature lovers.

Two weeks before Easter till the end of October & on the second weekend in December (Kronberger Christmas market) opening:

Wed/ Thur /Fri /Sat 1pm – 5pm
Son- and holidays 11am - 6pm

Tours through the inside during opening hours: hourly as of 14 o´clock on weekdays; hourly as of 12 o´clock an Sunday and holidays
