Running has long ceased to be a male domain. Nevertheless, at all "normal" running events, the male starters are clearly in the majority. The demand for a run just for women has been unbroken until recently. In 2019, almost 4,000 women of all ages and abilities took part in the Women's Run around the Frankfurt Arena.
But the male-free starting field is not the only thing that distinguishes the Women's Run Frankfurt from an ordinary public run. The varied supporting programme on the topics of beauty, shopping and sport, the coveted starter shirt and finisher's bag at the finish, the voluntary timekeeping and the walking offer on both the 5km and 10km routes make the Frankfurt Women's Run a varied all-day event for all women who enjoy exercise and would like to treat themselves to a little time out among friends or simply some time just for themselves.
