About a year and a half ago, in March 2020, in the first Germany-wide lockdown, Munich-based photographer Helena Heilig and journalist Susanne Fiedler launched their exhibition project "Wirte im Lockdown" ("Landlords in Lockdown"). Initially limited to Munich, the two initiators soon began photographing innkeepers in their orphaned restaurants throughout Germany, thus capturing the exceptional situation of the restaurateurs.
