Description
In 1612, the Elector of Mainz, Johann Schweikard von Kronberg, founded a Jesuit community in Aschaffenburg. He donated funds to establish a church, which was completed in 1621. Four to five different exhibitions usually take place here every year. Past projects have included works by E.L. Kirchner and Christian Schad as well as solo exhibitions by Meret Oppenheim, Günther Uecker and Daniel Spoerri. Exhibitions by internationally acclaimed artists, which are specially designed for the venue, are articularly popular.
