Description
In addition to the sections of Rhine Romanticism, the Roman era, town history and special exhibitions, the Hildegard of Bingen exhibition is the primary focus of what the museum offers. On more than 3.000 square meters, a clear picture of the great Abbess is conveyed: in fascinating models, the long-destroyed Hildegard convent is brought back to life while impressive artworks, precious originals and elaborate graphical reproductions bring her life and works into vivid perspective. The Hildegarten, which provides access to the natural history of the saint, is laid out next to the museum. The museum also marks the start of the new Hildegard Path which leads through Bingen´s town center. Follow the traces of the Saint and learn more about this fascinating woman and her era.
