Description
The exhibition offers deep insights into the inner landscape of the famous theologian, philosopher, musician, organ virtuoso and physician, who founded and directed the world-famous jungle hospital in Lambarene (Gabon) for more than five decades. The museum also illustrates the timeliness of his “Ethics of Reverence for Life”, while at the same time highlighting his efforts in the promotion of peace. Also featuring a library and an archive, the German Albert Schweitzer Centre presents itself as a unique place of research and encounters.
