In the birthplace of the poet, revolutionary and naturalist Georg Büchner, the exhibition called "From Goddelau to the world stage" about the life, work and impact of Büchner (1813-1837) is displayed.
Objects, pictures and quotations, displayed in room scenes, give a summary of Büchner’s life: family, study, persecution, escape, exile. A video collage combines photos of Büchner productions with personal statements by laureates of the Georg-Büchner-Prize. The exhibition is complemented by a library on the first floor. The lecture room in the outbuilding and the courtyard and garden provides an attractive setting for events.
School classes and groups upon prior arrangement.
