Frankfurt am Main offers more diverse and special art experiences than almost any other major German city: From the internationally esteemed academies, to the offspaces and artists' houses, to important private collections and one of the most renowned museum landscapes in Europe. In Frankfurt, the entire cycle of the art business is on display - and its nucleus is formed by the approximately 50 galleries and offspaces spread throughout the city. Their personal work with the artists they discover, build up, and for whom they occasionally smooth the way into the museum, are the basis for the attractive cultural interplay in the city. Their importance for the culture in the neighborhood should not be underestimated.
Since 2019, we have been inviting the art-interested public to discover Frankfurt's art and gallery scene for themselves at the late summer start of the season - Germany's oldest gallery weekend.
