The Praunheim Men's Choir, founded in 1878, performs songs from the revolutionary period of 1848. The programme also includes the hymn "Horch auf, mein Volk!" ("Listen, my people!"), which was frequently sung during the Paulskirche period and which Struwwelpeter's author Heinrich Hoffmann wrote full of enthusiasm for the revolution in March 1848.
