Blooming orchestral colors
It is no secret that French orchestral literature is particularly colorful. The Orchestre National de France has the colorful fireworks that the works of Ravel or Saint-Saëns ignite written into its genes. The orchestra was founded almost 90 years ago to make the orchestral compositions of French composers widely heard, and today it is one of France's most important cultural ambassadors on the world's concert stages. The close partnership with Xavier de Maistre is therefore obvious: the charismatic harpist is a passionate advocate of the French musical tradition as well as of the entire concert literature for his instrument, which is often far too rare on the concert podiums. In the highly romantic concert by Kiev-born Reinhold Glière, de Maistre has the opportunity to bring all the exciting facets of the harp to the stage.
