Event details
In "Gnathost-o-mata," interdisciplinary performance artist Carla Tapparo from Argentina combines mix-culture, such as raves and dj-ing, with narrative techniques to create new meanings and experiences. She is interested in the relationship between the individual and the collective body. Dancers and choreographers Emmanuel Ndefo and Femi Adebajo from Nigeria are also concerned with bodies. In "Traces of Ecstasy" they examine male vulnerabilities and intimacy. Dancer and choreographer Stephanie Kayal has teamed up with musician and composer Abed Kobeissy to take revenge on the physical and psychological injuries of recent years in Lebanon as a sci-fi anti-heroine in "Galactic Crush." The feminist theater collective led by director Manjari Kaul from India will further develop "Firefly Women." The play is based on the letters of two women from the prison where they are imprisoned due to draconian legislation from the colonial era.
