Evening Performance - Ode to Democracy
A special highlight of the festival program will be the evening production on the Main River on May 18 and 19.
An exciting and profound mixture awaits the audience: a bubbling firework of light paired with sculptural projections on the Main. Pointed music and spoken texts set the highlights of the production alongside the light show projections.
At the center are questions about the nature of democracy, the challenges and opportunities it faces, and the understanding of values within which democracy can take place and flourish.
Event details
The words and thoughts of Frankfurt's urban society will flow in - but also those of well-known personalities from all over Germany. However, the democratic order is not set, but requires the constant discourse of all levels of society, which is to be carried out in the evening production in a special way symbolically. The debate on content leads over to the choreography of a many-voiced "Chorus of Freedom", in which the diversity of society is celebrated by a song composed especially by the musician Chima, and ends in a colorful declaration of love - an ode to democracy.
