Event details
More than 20,000 visitors are regularly enthralled by the hr Symphony Orchestra at its summer concert evenings on the banks of the Main. Supported by "Elisabethen Quelle", this time it will be a summer night in which the night itself is the musical focus - not least in the form of the "Nocturne", the "Night Piece". Frédéric Chopin was a master of these shadowy tones, as was the French impressionist Claude Debussy. And the music of the Pole Mieczysław Weinberg also fits into this mood. The evening opens operatically dramatic with the overture to "The Power of Destiny" by the Italian Giuseppe Verdi. In the early evening, the hr-Bigband will once again provide the first musical highlights and a good atmosphere on the Main. Gastronomic offers round off the Europa Open Air of the hr-Sinfonieorchester and the European Central Bank in good tradition, to which all music lovers are once again cordially invited.
