Event details
The Colombian Youth Philharmonic? For Andrés Orozco-Estrada, this is clearly a matter of the heart! He is passionately committed to this exceptional orchestra. With good reason: the Colombian's own great career once began in a very similar way. In the Colombian Youth Philharmonic, Colombia's most talented musicians are given the chance to gain orchestral experience at a highly professional level, to be cultural ambassadors for their country and to discover the world for themselves on their international tours. The idea that led to its founding almost 15 years ago has more than paid off in the meantime: the orchestra has become a showcase project worldwide. Four years ago, it presented itself for the first time in Frankfurt with fiery temperament and musical excellence. When it returns now, it will not only have star violinist Hilary Hahn at its side, but also a program that demands the highest virtuosity from orchestra, conductor and soloist.
