At the beginning of 2021, Abduraimov presented a sensational album - with in the repertoire: Mussorgsky's cycle "Pictures at an Exhibition," which is now also on the program of his solo evening at the Alte Oper. "Each movement is a miniature in itself - but together they form a kaleidoscope of human emotions and impressions," says Abduraimov, describing the fascination of this own cosmos in tones.
Behzod Abduraimov, born in Tashkent in 1990, has developed in recent years from an insider tip to an internationally sought-after artist. Among the important stages in his career are his award-winning CD debut with Prokofiev's Third and Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto (2012), his DVD-released debut at the 2016 BBC Proms with the Munich Philharmonic and Valery Gergiev, and concerts and recitals in major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam - and also at the Alte Oper Frankfurt, where Abduraimov will perform in October 2019, also with Valery Gergiev (and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra of St. Petersburg), performed Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto.
