For the orchestra, however, freedom also means incorporating the different musical cultural backgrounds of the musicians and bringing classical works into contact with the styles and genres of our time. The orchestra has already pursued this goal twice in the Alte Oper Frankfurt, presenting surprising new interpretations of the music of Beethoven and Brahms. For the third Frankfurt visit of the Stegreif.orchester on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, the Alte Oper is deliberately relocating the orchestra's performance to a venue where classical music is otherwise rather at home.
