How can we understand the violent forms of anti-Semitism, racism, and colonization as interrelated and historically interdependent phenomena without lapsing into relativization? How do we talk about memory and historical responsibility, and how about the sometimes conflicting, "strange" emotions that both evoke? How does the "foreign body", the outcast, the oppressed, emerge from the midst of a supposed "we"?in this unique collaboration between Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, actors:inside from the ensemble appear on stage together with dancers:inside and free performers:inside. Based on joint research and improvisations, the Israeli choreographer Saar Magal develops a piece of contemporary physical theater that deals with the present and genealogy of anti-Semitic and racist violence in Germany, bringing language, music, bodies and images to dance.
