Fortress Rüsselsheim

The Fortress of Russelsheim is considered one of the best preserved four-winged fortress buildings north of the Alps.

A special place for adventures and at the same time a natural local recreation area is located between the city center and the river Main: the early modern Hessian fort, with its roots reaching back to the year 1399 is home to the museum of industry and city history. Explore the area while walking on parapets or through ditches and learn more about the interesting life of the people who lived there in the past. Afterwards savor the historical ambience while having a piece of cake and some coffee.

Führungen durch die Festung können über das Stadt- und Industriemuseum gebucht werden
