The House of Municipal History guides its visitors through the past of Offenbach. 10.000 years of the city´s history, arts and culture are presented in a vivid way.

The House of Municipal History is an important cultural cornerstone in eastern Rhine-Main-area: it offers an interesting program of various events. In the industry memorial of the Bernardbau – which was built 1896 as a tobacco factory – the modern presentation, drafted by the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, surprises his visitors with a detailed view over the city’s history. The prehistory and early history is presented in palpable exhibits and multimedia presentations as well as the development of the city in the 19th and 20th century.

Free entrance on Friday. Guided tours. Barrier-free
